I had the honor to cooperate in a super cool project by an amazing artists like Nimrod Shapira, Eran Hadas, Amir Shoenfeld, Guyguy, Avshalom Ariel, Ben Scheflan, Micha Gilad, Adam Blufarb and many more.
The challenge was to create three illustrations for the end credits in one day 😀 I must admit that I enjoyed that and I'm really happy with the result.
About the project - “Blue Jeans and Bloody Tears” is an ambitious project that brings together Israel the “Startup Nation” and Israel the Eurovision Powerhouse to see whether AI (with the emphasis on deep learning) can move us.
The project team fed hundreds of Eurovision songs – melodies and lyrics – into a neuron network. Then, algorithms produced thousands of new tunes and lines of verse, from which a few musical units were carefully selected and “welded” into a song. The result is comprised entirely of material written and composed by Artificial Intelligence, and is called Blue Jeans & Bloody Tears. The song celebrates Eurovision – its melodrama, kitsch and camp, its humor and its gimmicks.
And who better to sing the song than Israel’s undisputed King of Eurovision – Izhar Cohen. Izhar Cohen was the first to bring the contest to Israel with his winning performance of Abanibi (1978), and he represented Israel for a second time with Oleh Oleh, which finished in a respectable fifth place (1985). The song was produced by Avshalom Ariel - Netta's musical partner and one of the creators of TOY (Eurovision song winner of 2018) and BASSA SABABA.
